NATURAL ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
FOR AN EVEN SMOOTHER & SOFTER SKIN

Allantoin is an active ingredient contained in many plants. Comfrey, for instance, contains one of the highest active ingredient concentrations of allantoin.

Comfrey – A Plant with Tradition
The skin-supporting effect of allantoin has been known for centuries. It was specifically used as a wound dressing for compressions, contusions and swellings. The name comfrey is attributable to the effective healing powers of the plant, which are due to the active ingredient allantoin. This substance is capable of highly accelerating cell building and cell formation. Thus Glaucus, an ancient Roman doctor, used a dressing from the pulp of comfrey root to treat broken bones compressions and contusions. Hildegard von Bingen used to boil up the stems and leaves of the medicinal plants with celery and wine and made a compress for torn peritonea. Even the North American Indians used a comfrey pulp to treat sprains and swellings.

“Pantothenic Acid – The Beauty Vitamin”
Panthenol is converted to pantothenic acid in the skin as a stabilized form of Vitamin B. It is no coincidence that pantothenic acid is popularly dubbed “beauty vitamin” or “queen of skin vitamins”. It improves the skin’s moisture as it is capable of deeply penetrating the skin’s deepest layers and binding moisture there. The skin remains healthy, beautiful and soft for longer. In addition, pantothenic acid has a calming and anti-irritant effect on the skin.

COLLAGEN ALLANTOIN & PANTHENOL
TWO ACTIVE INGREDIENTS, ONE EXCELLENT EFFECT

The positive properties of allantoin and panthenol are combined in Collagen Allantoin & Panthenol. The biomatrix thus has an excellent skin-smoothening and moisture-binding effect.

Allantoin
Collagen Allantoin & Panthenol uses a highly purified, synthetic variant of allantoin. Allantoin has a significant influence on both cell formation and cell building. Thus, it stimulates the skin cells’ regeneration and renewal and the skin is noticeably smoothened.

Panthenol
Panthenol is a stabilized form of Provitamin B5 (pantothenic acid). It is also dubbed the “beauty vitamin” as it has an extremely important influence on the cell metabolism and is thus also responsible for the skin’s appearance. Panthenol is an excellent complement to the positive effect of allantoin on the skin. The moisture provided to the skin by the biomatrix is ideally bound by the active ingredient and is thus available to the skin for longer. This makes the skin more resistant and softer. In synergy, both active ingredients result in a healthy, radiant complexion. Rough, chapped and dry skin is lastingly provided with vital moisture and the skin’s regeneration is actively stimulated. Furthermore, panthenol has a positive effect, particularly on minor skin injuries such as cracks in dry and chapped skin.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS

Fields of application
Thanks to its skin-smoothening and moisture-binding effect, Collagen Allantoin & Panthenol is particularly suitable for the treatment of dry skin (sebostasis) which is prone to rapidly become rough and chapped. Care with Collagen Allantoin & Panthenol is also highly recommended for extremely dry skin which is prone to itchiness (xerosis). Particularly in this field, the biomatrix can help the skin to regenerate and look healthy and youthful.

Frequency of application
It is recommended to apply Collagen Allantoin & Panthenol once a week as part of a classic cosmetics treatment for professional skincare. If required, the frequency of application can be increased at any time. During a curative treatment, e.g. during a stay at a spa, Collagen Allantoin & Panthenol should be applied three times a week to support the skin’s reepithelization.
